Introduction
Azure Log Analytics query editor is used to write, execute, and manage Azure monitor log queries in Azure Portal. The Log Analytics query editor has an option to show row numbers in the query editor.
Settings - Show row numbers in query editor
Search for Log Analytics work-spaces in Azure Portal > Select any of your work spaces > Click on View Logs from Search and Analyze Logs > Open Logs > You can find Settings gear Icon > Query Editor > Show row numbers in query editor > Switch On > Save.

To see the numbers in Log Analytics query editor , reload the page.

When it is useful
If there are any errors in the query, you can easily identity from the output with line number and debug the queries.
